Public Safety
We need to prioritize police officers working with residents, schools, youth groups, and others to foster relationships that create a safe, healthy neighborhoods. I feel it is important that police officers and residents are getting out on foot in each neighborhood to ensure everyone's safety.
It is vital that there is investment in community policing from all levels of city government and the community. As Alderman, I will prioritize community policing during the budget process. I will also work with the Board of Aldermen, Chief of Police, the Mayor, and organizations in the City to host community policing trainings and educate residents about fighting crime in Somerville.
